Sun Moon Lake

We spent majority of the day in the van traveling to sun moon lake. On our way to the hotel we stopped at two temples. The first named Chung Tai Monetarist Temple, and the second named Wen Wu temple. Both very beautiful temples, full of a lot of cultural statues. Unfortunately, majority of the placards were in Chinese, so I couldn't determine what all I was looking at. We stopped for an hour in between both temples to get some lunch, and during that time I grabbed a plate of chicken curry, with vegetables, and rice. We also grabbed what looked like very delicious jelly balls with fruit in them, but that was not the case. I will go more into details about that a little later in this post. We finally made it to the hotel, where we checked in and grabbed dinner for the night. For dinner I had a beef, vegetable and rice meal. It was pretty well priced and tasted marvelous. I thoroughly enjoyed my night, and look forward to all the fun we will have tomorrow at the theme park.

Chicken curry, with vegetables, and rice.

Here are the jelly balls filled with fruit. We didn't know what these were exactly, and when we were checking them out, the lady behind the desk begin to speak to use in Chinese. We were super confused and even with google translate, we couldn't figure out what she was trying to tell us. She gave a sample to one of the girls in our group, and the response after she ate the jelly ball didn't look too promising. We didn't know how to tell her we didn't want to buy any, but she started scooping multiple jelly balls into this clear container and then poured what she called honey on top of them, and so a girl in our group impulsively bought them. Honestly, they were not good. They had no flavor. Just tasted like fruit encased in flavorless jello. Would not recommend.

I believe this was beef, vegetables, and rice. I ended up ordering another order of rice, because it was sooooo good.
