Last night in Taipei!

We started off our day at a Traditional Art Museum where we had the opportunity to do some indigo dyeing. Indigo dyeing is an organic compound with a distinctive blue color. However, indigo was a natural dye extracted from the leaves of certain plants, and this process was important economically because blue dyes were once rare. It is the blue often associated with denim cloth and blue jeans. It was a lot of fun.




Here is my piece of cloth that I created when we did the Indigo Dyeing.

This is where we went to get what our professor called a Pancake.

This Pancake is more like some fried dough, that had some green onions in it. I put some pepper sauce on it, omgggg I wish I would of gotten two. It was sooooo goood. 

It is our last night in Taipei before we head to sun moon lake in the morning. So Baily, Kaylee, and I decided to go out on the town one last time before leaving. We went and ate some dumplings, then headed to Ximen where we tried on basically all the clothes in H&M. Only to buy one thing before we came back to the hotel. It was a great night though. I am all packed and ready to head to Taichung in the morning.

Calligraphy, Tea, Chemistry Experiment

We begun the day with a very relaxing tea and calligraphy class. It was the calmest activity I believe we have done since we have been here. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the tea made me feel so calm,and the professor, Mr. White had a relaxing voice. Everything went fantastic. We practiced some Chinese letters in calligraphy which was extremely hard. It was hard to do, but also a lot of fun. We left from there, grabbed some lunch and then went to the lab. We had a lot of work to do. Once that was over, we all relaxed with each other and headed back to the hotel for the night. I'm actually holding the brush wrong. You are supposed to hold the brush perfectly up and down, but every time I used the brush I wanted to hold it more like a pen, and trying to get the brush strokes right felt impossible. From MSP to South Korea to Taipei

From left to right, you see a Four Cheese Ravioli, Caprese Salad, and a dinner roll. I really enjoyed this meal. We had a couple of option to chose from, but I thought id play it safe since its Airplane food. I definitely smashed this meal though. This Roasted Tomato and Mozzarella Burschetta was just the right snack as we approached the half way mark of our 13 hour flight. I think this was a solid 8 out of 10. OMGGG. When I tell you this Ice cream was the perfect dessert, I was truly sadden when I found my spoon touching the bottom of the container. Thankfully, my friend Kaylee doesnt like cookie dough, so I was able to scoop her ice cream right off her hands. This was our Almost there/ Farewell breakfast. It included some fruit, yogurt, and a Egg and Swiss cheese sandwich.
